Notice RE Laboratory Technician Position at the Linden Roselle Sewerage Authority

Opening for Laboratory Technician position at major wastewater treatment facility in Linden, NJ. Laboratory is NJDEP certified to analyze 25+ parameters. Position will entail analyzing wastewater and sludge samples according to standard operating procedures. Required to operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment, troubleshooting, calibration checks, sample preservation and chemical reagents preparation. Perform and report calculated sample results and complete data entry.

Qualifications: A.S. Degree in Chem., Bio. or Env. Science with 3 yrs. exp. in a wastewater laboratory or B.S. Degree in Chem., Bio. or Env. Science with 1 yr. exp. in a wastewater laboratory.

Notice RE Two Vacancies for the position of Laborer 1, Tier 2 in the Department of Community Services

Please be advised that there are two vacancies for the position of Laborer 1 (tier 2) in the Department of Community Services at the hourly rate of $15.00 (job description and requirements attached). These positions are full time for 40 hours per week. Please post this in an area available to all employees. At this time, these positions will also be publicly advertised and open to all City of Linden residents. The City of Linden has a residency requirement and applicants will be required to show proof of residency in order to qualify for any position.

Notice RE June 9, 2020 Planning Board Meeting

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on June 9, 2020 in accordance with the Open Public Meeting Act, N.J.S.A. 10:4-6 et. seq., and the Governor of New Jersey’s Executive Orders 102 and 104 regarding COVID-19 the Planning Board of the City of Linden will conduct its regular meeting at 7:00 PM. The meeting will be conducted VIRTUALLY due to the current health problems limiting personal contact and public gatherings through electronic communication equipment to facilitate public comments or questions.

Members of the Public may access the meeting from their computer, tablet or smart phone by registering in advance via RingCentral by clicking here.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.

At this meeting the Board will vote on two Resolutions; namely SD-750-20 – Direct Access Developers, LLC and SP-1070-17 – Safety Kleen Systems and hear three Applications, namely, SD-746A-20 – 105 Center Street; SP-1117-20 – Linden Harmony Renewal – 33-37 W. Price Street and SP-1118-20 – W Price Street North, 40-46 W. Price Street . The Board will also hear Redevelopment Study and Preliminary Investigations for Block 309, Lots 1, 2, 3, 21 & 22 DeWitt Street and for Block 85, Lots 12,13 & 14 John Street.

Notice regarding a Special City Council Meeting on May 28, 2020 at 6pm

A Special Meeting of the City Council, City of Linden has been scheduled for Thursday, May 28, 2020, 6pm. The purpose of the meeting is as follows:

  • Review and Acceptance of the Rail Freight Assistance Program (RFAP) Agreement.
  • Approval of a Financial Agreement with Clayton relative to the 10% in matching funds for said Project.

Official action may be taken.
