Project Graduation Permission Slip

Click here to view and/or download the updated permission form for Project Graduation 2022.

As you may know, the goal of Project Graduation has always been to provide a safe environment for our Senior Class on their Graduation Night. It was created as a result of seven alcohol and other drug related teen deaths during the commencement season in 1979.

Linden’s Mayor’s Youth Commission has hosted Project Graduation for over 25 years. The pandemic kept us from hosting Project Graduation for the last two graduating classes, and it is finally time to get back to our usual traditions! Because the Class of 2022 missed so much time together in the last few years, this celebration will be special.

Please support this special celebration for the Linden High School Class of 2022 by donating here.

We thank you for your anticipated donations helping us provide a safe environment in which our seniors can celebrate Graduation together…. safe and sober.

Sandy Jackson, President of the Mayor’s Youth Commission

Easter Goody Bag Winners

In celebration of Easter, Mayor Armstead, the Mayor’s Youth Commission, and the Linden Department of Parks and Recreation hosted an Easter Goody Bag Grab & Go on March 30th and March 31st. Previously, they’ve hosted Easter Egg Hunts for the youth; however, due to COVID-19, the event could not be held.

Wanting to spread cheer and not leave the children at bay, they improvised and hosted the Goody Bag Grab & Go. There were three eggs in the goody bags that had raffle tickets in them.

Our three lucky raffle winners were Tyler Caldwell, Coraliy Betances, and Eva Ribeiro. They each won $25 Visa gift cards donated by Phillips 66.

Congratulations to our winners!

Linden High School 2021 Graduation Celebration Fundraising

The Class of 2021 has been faced with many challenges this School year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Classes have been held virtually, students have not been able to participate fully with extracurricular activities and have not been able to socialize with their friends.

This year we are hoping that we will be able to host another Post Graduation Celebration that is “Uplifting and Inspirational” for our graduates. Something that they will look back on and remember their senior year in a positive way.

Please consider donating to the Youth Commission and help us plan a “special celebration” for the Class of 2021. Click here to make a donation online, or mail your donation to Linden Mayor’s Youth Commission, 301 N. Wood Ave, Linden, NJ 07036

We thank you for your anticipated support in helping us provide a safe environment in which our seniors can celebrate Graduation together…. safe and sober.
