Wastewater Plant Electrician

A major northeast Wastewater Treatment Plant is looking for an Electrician.  Duties include but not limited to preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment for the plant and pumping stations involving 480/240/120 volts, maintenance of electrical systems for buildings and grounds, pumps valves, motors, controls etc.  Industrial Electrical Knowledge and Experience is a must.

Requirements good communication skills, possession of a valid driver’s license, knowledge and understanding of the maintenance procedures. A high school diploma or equivalent training and experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance, at least 3 years appropriate experience. Knowledge of industrial instrumentation, and experience, and 1,460 volts is a plus.

  • Who: Open to all incoming Linden High School students, freshman through seniors.
  • What: Summer XC/Track Conditioning Program. The focus of this program is to begin conditioning for the upcoming athletic year. There will be a docus on drills, stretches, training and running. Be sure to bring sneakers, athletic clothing and water!
  • When: 8am until 10am, Monday through Thursday (weather permitting), beginning July 8 through August 1, 2024.
  • Where: Linden Field House at Tiger Stadium, which is located at 700 West Curtis Street.

2024 Spring Wrestling Program

Mayor Derek Armstead, the City of Linden, and the Department of Parks & Recreation are pleased to announce the 2024 Spring Wrestling Program. Our program has produced League and State champions! All skill levels are welcome.

  • Who: For children Grade 6 through Grade 12.
  • What: Instruction on basic wrestling techniques and skills to improve one’s body awareness and overall confidence. All participants must have their own wrestling shoes. All skill levels are welcome.
  • When: Program runs from April 9 through June 13, 2024. Practice will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30pm until 8pm.
    • No practice on days that schools are closed.
  • Where: McManus Middle School Gymnasium, which is located at 300 Edgewood Road.
  • How: $25 registration fee, plus a $6 insurance fee. All participants must have their own wrestling shoes. Register online here, or register in-person at the John T. Gregorio Center (330 Helen Street) from 9am until 4pm, or at the Linden Multi Purpose Center (1025 John Street) from 9:30am until 7:30pm.
